Song Thrush watercolour sketch

Detailed watercolour, painted as an initial nature study, for a potential larger watercolour painting.

There are two frames to choose from; Off-white and Oak.

Then using the smaller brush I used the brown to paint short brushstrokes on the head, the back and the tail of the bird. The short brushstrokes gave movement to the birds feathers.

Song Thrush was painted using only 3 primary colours. No black, no white, no masking fluid. Just pure watercolour.
