Welcome to my wildlife commissions page. I am a watercolour artist, living in rural Shropshire, surrounded by beautiful wildlife. Also, I create your wildlife painting from your photographs. I receive wildlife commissions from the UK, Spain, France, Norway, Sweden and many European countries, in addition to Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand. I use a courier for all wildlife commission painting deliveries.
Wildlife commissions are of any animal, with or without a background, including animals in their natural habitat. It is entirely up to you what you would like. Please get in touch and let me know what type of wildlife commission you’re thinking of.
About Artist Helen Parry, My Painting Technique with Watercolours and my Style
I only paint with professional watercolours and I use just three colours (a red, a blue and a yellow). With these three colours I can mix all the colours I need. All the white in the wildlife painting is the white of the paper, as I don’t use white paint. My painting technique is called “Pure Watercolour”. It is a highly technical and unique painting technique, with lovely fine detail. Also, the professional quality of the materials I use, means your wildlife painting is archival and will last many years, for generations to come, if looked after properly.
My style of painting is realistic with very fine brushwork. I like to paint all the intricate markings of an animal in a wildlife painting too. My watercolour paintings have very fine detail. In your wildlife commission painting I endeavour to capture all that I observe of an animal.
I look forward to working with you on your wildlife commission and think good communication is vital to producing a beautiful wildlife painting that you’ll love. Therefore, I like to keep in touch throughout the process either by phone or email. Also, I’m happy for you to contact me if you have any questions throughout. Customer service is important to me and I aim to provide a professional and friendly service.
Commissioning a Wildlife Painting
Please see Commission Process page for how I work with commissions.
I provide advice on what makes a good photo for a wildlife commission on my Wildlife Photography Tips page. Also, I talk about using old printed photos for your wildlife painting and using my wildlife photo resources for your commission. Hopefully it will give you some ideas for a wildlife commission.
If you’re looking for a unique wildlife commission for someone special and you require it soon, then please contact me, as soon as possible. I’m usually very busy with commissions and need as much notice as possible. If time is short I have lovely Gift Vouchers available for a wildlife commission as an alternative.
Framing a Wildlife Commission
Your wildlife commission is provided unframed, so you’re free to choose where and how your commission is framed. However, if you would like me to get your commission framed then please get in touch. Framed commissions that have glass, instead of acrylic, need to be collected from my studio, based in Shropshire.
Giclée Prints of your Commission
All my watercolour paintings are professionally photographed. Therefore, I am able to provide lovely fine art giclée prints, of your wildlife painting. These are archivable giclée prints and make a wonderful gift for family and friends. Please contact me if you’re interested.
